After the successful launch of its initiatives in Poland during the first year of implementation, the European Fruits campaign returned to Warsaw even stronger, continuing to pursue public awareness on the quality, safety and nutritional value of fresh European fruits.
On Thursday, June 25th, 2026, journalists, media representatives, opinion leaders and professionals from the agri-food industry met at Mykonos Greek Restaurant & Bar for the second campaign Press Event in Poland. The event was held within the framework of the European Fruits campaign, which is co-funded by the European Union, implemented in Greece, Poland and the Czech Republic, with ASEPOP Naoussa as the Beneficiary.
Maria Nalmpanti, representative of the executive agency Novacert Ltd, extended a brief welcome to the guests as part of the event, referring to the importance of European programmes for the promotion of agricultural products.
Then, Mr. Athanasios Bougas, representative of ASEPOP Naoussa, presented the activity and long-standing course of the cooperative, as well as its contribution to the production and export of quality European fruits, while emphasizing the role of the European Fruits campaign in promoting European peaches, nectarines, cherries, apricots and kiwis.
Anna Podgórska, Clinical Dietitian, presented the current dietary recommendations for fruit consumption, with references to national dietary guidelines and scientific data supporting the importance of daily fruit consumption as part of a balanced diet.
Next, Mr. Lefteris Maroulis, Business Development Consultant and President of the Association of Greek Entrepreneurs in Poland, presented the European fresh fruit quality and safety assurance system.
Mr. Giorgos Michailidis, 1st Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of Greece in Poland, honoured the event with his presence and briefly addressed those present.
The event ended with a dinner, during which the participants had the chance to get acquainted, network, and exchange views in a very positive atmosphere.
