From September 7 to 10, 2026, journalists from the Czech Republic visited Naoussa as part of an educational trip under the EuropeanFruits program. The visit took place during a particularly interesting period for production, between the completion of the stone fruit harvest and the start of the kiwi harvest.
At the facilities and orchards of the program’s beneficiary, ASEPOP Naoussa, the participants experienced different stages of the production process firsthand and were informed about the practices applied to maintain the quality and distinctive characteristics of the fruit.
As the harvest of the program’s stone fruits had just been completed, the journalists had the opportunity to observe the sorting and packaging of the fruit, as well as to visit the cold storage chambers where this year’s harvest was stored.
At the same time, shortly before the start of the harvest, they visited kiwi orchards and facilities, seeing the trees loaded with fruit and the preparations for the new production season. Thus, during the same trip, they gained insight into two distinct and equally important phases of the production cycle.
This direct acquaintance with Greek production provided the Czech journalists with valuable experience and insights that they can share with their audience, highlighting the quality, safety, and unique characteristics of European fruit.
